Youth of May was a historical romantic drama set in 1980 during the Gwangju Uprising. It told the story of a medical student, Hwang Hee Tae, and a nurse, Kim Myung Hee, whose lives became intertwined amidst the political turmoil. The show depicted their love story, which appeared destined by fate, against the backdrop of a turbulent period in Korean history.
The series featured Lee Do Hyun as Hwang Hee Tae, Go Min Shi as Kim Myung Hee, Lee Sang Yi as Lee Soo Chan, and Geum Sae Rok as Lee Su Ryeon. The show had a runtime of approximately 70 minutes per episode.
