You Bet! ended on 12 April 1997. The show aired its final episode on that date on ITV1.
You Bet! was a British game show that originally premiered on 20 February 1988. It was based on the German format Wetten, dass..? and involved celebrities betting on members of the public completing unlikely challenges and stunts within a limited time. The show featured a panel of celebrity guests and a studio audience, with points awarded for correct predictions. The celebrity sponsor of each challenge was required to bet on the success of their challenger. The combined points from celebrities and the audience were converted into pounds and donated to charity. The program was broadcast mainly on Saturday nights, with some episodes airing on Fridays, and ran for ten seasons.
The series was hosted by Bruce Forsyth, Matthew Kelly, and Darren Day at different times during its run. It was a family-oriented action game show that combined entertainment with charitable donations. The show did not have a rated score on TVMaze, and each episode had a runtime of approximately 60 minutes.
