Is Wordplay coming back?

Wordplay ended on December 31, 1986, after its original run on NBC. The show was a game series that involved contestants selecting words from a board and matching them to definitions provided by guest celebrities, with the goal of accumulating the most money over six words. A special bonus round called "Speedword" was featured on the first episode, where the champion tried to guess words from two definitions within forty-five seconds to win cash prizes. The game was hosted by Tom Kennedy with Charlie O'Donnell as the announcer. In 2017, Buzzr re-aired the pilot and the first three episodes of the series, bringing renewed attention to this classic game show.
