Wildfire was an animated series from 1986 that combined elements of fantasy, western, and children's programming. It was set in the kingdom of Dar-Shan, which was cursed by the evil Diabolyn. The series followed the story of Queen Serena's daughter Sarah and her exiled family, who were sent to Earth. Each week, Sarah was transported back to Dar-Shan with the magical horse Wildfire to fight Diabolyn's schemes and try to restore her kingdom.
The show featured a cast including John Vernon as Wildfire, Georgi Irene as Sarah, Jessica Walter as Diabolyn, Robert Jayne as Dorin, Susan Blu as Brutus, and David Ackroyd as John Cavanaugh. It was a half-hour animated series that premiered in September 1986 and concluded in December 1986.
