Wild West was a comedy series that aired from October 2002 to April 2004. It was set in the small Cornish town of St Gweep, where strange and humorous events took place. The series was a dark comedy created by Simon Nye, featuring the everyday lives of the town’s residents and their interactions with outsiders, who were often viewed with suspicion.
The show starred Dawn French as Mary Trewednack and Catherine Tate as Angela Phillips, a lesbian couple determined to protect their village from holiday home buyers and thrill-seekers. The cast also included David Bradley as Old Jake, Sean Foley as Jeff, and Richard Mylan as Harry.
