About Vishnu Puran
Vishnu Puran ended on 12 May 2003 on DD National.
Vishnu Puran was an Indian television series based on the ancient collection of stories and scriptures known as the Vishnu Purana. The show aired in 2003 and depicted the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu, along with other mythological stories such as the Legend of Dhruv. It aimed to bring to life the rich narratives of Hindu mythology through dramatized episodes, with a focus on the divine deeds and incarnations of Vishnu.
The series starred Nitish Bharadwaj as Vishnu and Vaidehi Amrute as Lakshmi. Nitish Bharadwaj previously played Lord Krishna in Chopra's adaptation of Mahabharat. The show was directed by B.R. Chopra and featured music composed by Rajkamal. Though it was not as successful as Mahabharat, Vishnu Puran gained popularity among viewers interested in Shri Vishnu and fans of Nitish Bharadwaj. Each episode had a runtime of approximately 45 minutes.
