Verano Azul ended on January 31, 1982. The series aired its final episode on that date on TVE.

Verano Azul was a family drama and comedy series that premiered on October 11, 1981, and was set in a small town on the Southern Coast of Spain. It followed the summer adventures of seven young friends—Quique, Javi, Pancho, Bea, Desi, Tito, and Piraña—who ranged in age from eight to sixteen. During their holiday, they met two adults, Julia, a painter, and Chanquete, a retired sailor, with whom they shared many experiences. The show explored themes such as adolescence, coming of age, death, family relations, and social issues, reflecting the lives and challenges of its characters over 19 episodes.

The cast included Juan José Artero as Javi, among others.
