About Забытые войны России
"Russia's Forgotten Wars" is a series of documentary and feature films about the armed conflicts the Russian state faced from the time of Ancient Rus' to the Patriotic War of 1812. During these years, Russia faced off against powerful powers: Byzantium, the Golden Horde, Sweden, the Ottoman Empire, and Persia.
Viewers will learn about the specifics of weaponry and combat tactics at various stages of Russian history and see reconstructions of little-known battles fought between Prince Svyatoslav and Vladimir Monomakh, Bohdan Khmelnytsky and Alexei Mikhailovich the Quietest, and Kutuzov and Bagration.
