It follows Mitya, a young doctor who returns to his native village of Ozernoye after studying for eight years at the St. Petersburg Medical University. Instead of practicing as a surgeon or dentist, Mitya becomes a sex psychologist, which surprises and challenges the conservative residents of the village, who are unaccustomed to discussing sexual topics openly.

The series explores themes of tradition, change, and understanding through Mitya’s efforts to help villagers confront their myths and prejudices about sex. It highlights the humorous and sometimes awkward situations that arise as he tries to educate and support his community in a rural Russian setting.
