Trouble Chocolate was a Japanese anime series that first premiered on October 9, 1999. It was a comedy and action series set in a world where magic and fantastical creatures were commonplace. The story followed Cacao, a student at Micro Grand Academy, whose life took a bizarre turn when he woke up to find a girl made of wood named Hinano sleeping beside him. Hinano, a tree spirit, had possessed a wooden puppet after a magic mishap, and she quickly became involved in Cacao's life at school. The show depicted Cacao's adventures with monsters, strange twins, a four-eyed cat master, a demon boy, and eccentric teachers, all while exploring his potential to become a powerful magic user.

The cast included Sakura Tange as Hinano and Naoki Yanagi as Cacao.
