Tropical-Rouge! Pretty Cure was an anime series that premiered on February 28, 2021, on TV Asahi. It was a part of the Pretty Cure franchise and followed the adventures of Manatsu Natsumi, a first-year middle school student who moved to Aozora City from Minamino Island. The series was set in a world where Manatsu gained magical powers after meeting a mermaid named Laura from the mystical Grand Ocean. She became Cure Summer, one of the legendary warriors destined to fight against the Dark Witch who had taken over the mermaid homeland.
The series was a magical girl anime that aired for one season, ending in January 2022. It focused on themes of friendship, bravery, and adventure as Manatsu and her friends defended their world from dark forces. The show was characterized by its vibrant animation and engaging storyline centered around the legend of the mermaids and the fight against evil.
