Set in Gloucester, Massachusetts, Townies was a comedy series that aired in 1996. It followed the lives of three twenty-something lifelong friends who dreamed of leaving their small town for the big city but always found something holding them back. The series explored their personal and social struggles as they navigated relationships, ambitions, and the challenges of growing up in a close-knit community.
