ThunderCats ended on June 16, 2012, after its first season aired from July 29, 2011. The series is no longer in production and has concluded its run on Cartoon Network.
The show was a reimagining of the original 1980s animated series, blending fantasy and science fiction elements. It told the story of the ThunderCats, who, after their kingdom of Thundera was attacked by lizard people, embarked on a quest to recover the Stones of Power and the Book of Omens. Led by Lion-O, the heroes faced villains like Mumm-Ra and Slithe, using the Sword of Omens and its powers to fight for justice.
The cast included Will Friedle as Lion-O, Emmanuelle Chriqui as Cheetara, Kevin Michael Richardson as Panthro, Matthew Mercer as Tygra, Eamon Pirruccello as WilyKat, Madeleine Hall as WilyKit, and Satomi Koorogi as Snarf. The series received a rating of 7.7 on TVMaze and each episode had a runtime of approximately 30 minutes.
