The series was a historical thriller set in Shanghai during 1943, focusing on Chen Qian, a military agent tasked with infiltrating enemy lines during World War II. The story followed Chen Qian as he received special training and disguised himself as a Japanese envoy to gather intelligence and thwart the invaders' plans. Throughout the series, Chen Qian navigated dangerous situations, working closely with Communist Party member Chun Yang to avoid detection and accomplish his mission.

The show featured a cast led by Peng Guan Ying as Chen Qian, with Chen Yu Qi playing Chun Yang. Other cast members included Fu Da Long, Gao Han Yu, Chen Xiao Yun, Wang Jin Song, Wu Yue, and Dong Jie. The series was a drama, thriller, and history genre production that premiered in April 2023 and consisted of 40 episodes, each approximately 45 minutes long.
