The Ultraman was the first animated series based on the Ultraman franchise, debuting in 1979. The cast included Kei Tomiyama as Choichiro Hikari, Sumi Shimamoto as Mutsumi Hoshikawa, and Kinya Morikawa as Tetsuo Akiyama, among others. The series had a runtime of approximately 30 minutes per episode.
