Is The Summit coming back?

The Summit ended on June 15, 2008, on CBC. The series concluded after its two episodes aired on the same day, with no plans for a continuation. It was a limited series that told a complete story within its brief run.

The show was a political thriller that centered around a biological weapon and the conspiracy behind its development and potential use. It followed Maria Puerto, who sought justice after her son’s death in a Colombian drug trial, and her efforts to expose a deadly plot involving a pharmaceutical company and a biological threat to the Western world. The series depicted the tense race against time to find an antidote before the weapon could be unleashed during a G8 Summit.

The cast included Mia Maestro as Maria Puerto, James Purefoy as Thom Lightstone, Rachelle Lefevre as Leonie Adderly, Bruce Greenwood as Richard Adderly, and Christopher Plummer as P.J. Aimes.
