Is The River coming back?

The River ended on November 24, 1988, on BBC One. The show aired its entire first season during that time.

The River was a comedy series that premiered in 1988. It followed the tranquil life of Davey Jackson, a lovable Cockney ex-convict who worked as a lock keeper on the canal near the village of Chumley-on-the-Water. The series depicted how his peaceful routine was disrupted by the arrival of Sarah MacDonald, a neurotic and sharp-tongued woman, leading to humorous interactions and situations.
