About The Protectors

The series was a drama, action, and adventure show that first premiered on September 29, 1972. It was about three affluent private detectives and troubleshooters based in London, who worked to protect innocent people. The team was led by Harry Rule, with the Contessa living in Italy and running her own detective agency specializing in art frauds and stolen art, and Paul Buchet working out of Paris as the group's researcher and gadget expert.
The main cast included Robert Vaughn as Harry Rule, Nyree Dawn Porter as Contessa Caroline di Contini, and Tony Anholt as Paul Buchet.
