The Parent Trip ended on April 22, 2010, on ITV2. The show concluded after its three-episode run in April 2010.

The series was a travel and adventure show that followed three personalities and their parents as they embarked on journeys to some of the world's most extreme locations. The program aimed to open their eyes to different cultures and environments while allowing them to reconnect and rediscover each other. One of the notable episodes featured model Abbey Clancy and her mother Karen as they traveled across the Great Thar Desert in India on camelback, participating in a dance with a gypsy family at a camel fair.

Each episode had a runtime of 60 minutes.
