It was an anime series that aired in 2011, based on a story about Hugh Anthony Disward who inherited an old mansion and a personal library from his grandfather. In the basement, he met a mysterious girl named Dalian, who was a Dantalian and a gateway to "Dantalian's bookshelf," which stored forbidden books associated with demons. The series followed Hugh and Dalian as they solved various cases involving these taboo books, known as Gensho, which threatened the world's balance but fascinated many.
The show featured Miyuki Sawashiro as Dalian and Daisuke Ono as Hugh. Each episode had a runtime of approximately 25 minutes. Since the series concluded in 2011 after one season of 12 episodes, there are no upcoming episodes or continuation plans.
