The Mayor was a comedy and music series that premiered in October 2017. It followed Courtney Rose, an outspoken and idealistic rapper who ran for office as a publicity stunt and unexpectedly won the election. The series depicted his journey as he discovered a natural talent for politics and began to transform City Hall from within.
The cast included Brandon Micheal Hall as Courtney Rose, Lea Michele as Valentina Barella, Yvette Nicole Brown as Dina Rose, Bernard David Jones as Jermaine Leforge, and Marcel Spears as T.K. Clifton. The show received a rating of 6 on TVMaze and each episode had a runtime of approximately 30 minutes.
