It followed Detective Gu Xinhe and Forensic Artist Qi Chu as they joined Zhao Shi's anti-trafficking task force to investigate a human trafficking ring. Over the course of the season, they unraveled a series of cold cases and targeted the notorious "Auntie Gui" syndicate. Qi Chu even went undercover at great personal risk, which led to the dismantling of the long-standing criminal network and exposed a horrifying scheme of trafficking used to fund more trafficking activities.

The season consisted of 24 episodes, each approximately 18 minutes long, and it concluded in May 2025.
