The Liver Birds was a British sitcom set in Liverpool, North West England, which aired initially from July 25, 1969, to January 1979, and then returned briefly in 1996. It was created by Carla Lane and Myra Taylor and centered around two Liverpudlian housewives who met at a local writers club and decided to share their talents. The series depicted their lives and friendship, capturing the humor and everyday struggles of working-class women in Liverpool.
The cast included Nerys Hughes as Sandra Hutchinson, Polly James as Beryl, and Mollie Sugden as Mrs. Thelma Hutchinson. The show featured a mix of other characters from the community, including the Boswells and Lucien.
