The Legend of Rosy Clouds's return is unconfirmed.

The series is a fantasy romantic comedy set in the legendary Nine Cities, and it is adapted from Saori Yukino's "The Tale of the Kingdom of Clouds." It was planned to explore the story of Fan Yun, a young woman from a distinguished but poor family, and Qi Zheng, the lord of Bai Qie Hei City. The narrative focused on their journey from testing each other to building mutual trust, overcoming obstacles for the benefit of the people, and ultimately discovering friendship and love. The story also depicted Fan Yun helping Qi Zheng bring peace to the realm, break old conventions, and resolve crises affecting the Nine Cities.
