The Legend of Outback Gold was a documentary adventure series that followed amateur treasure hunters and lifelong friends, Jeff Harris and Brendan Elliot. The series explored their quest to find a legendary gold deposit in remote Outback Australia, inspired by the story of prospector Harold Lasseter who claimed to have seen the riches before disappearing in 1930. The show documented their journey across hostile terrain and extreme temperatures, with the help of experts like geologists and historians, as they followed clues left in Lasseter’s diary.

Though the show is still in development, it was planned as a series with one season comprising six episodes.
