The Kumars was a comedy series that took place in the living room of a flat in Hounslow. It followed the lives of the Kumar family, who had faced hardships during the economic downturn. The show depicted Sanjeev, his brother Ashwin, and other family members as they navigated personal and financial challenges while running a family talk show within their home, which Ashwin managed to resurrect through a sponsorship deal.
The cast included Sanjeev Bhaskar as Sanjeev Kumar, Vincent Ebrahim as Ashwin Kumar, Meera Syal as Sushil 'Ummi' Kumar, and Harvey Virdi as Hawney.
