About The Joe Schmo Show
The Joe Schmo Show ended on March 5, 2013, on Paramount Network. The show concluded after its third season, with the final episode airing on that date.
The Joe Schmo Show was a reality television parody that aired from 2003 to 2013. It was a one-hour series featuring a man who believed he was participating in an over-the-top reality competition seeking America's next bounty hunter and a $100,000 prize. However, the entire show was scripted and staged, with actors portraying various reality TV stereotypes and a team of writers controlling the narrative. The contestant encountered outlandish scenarios, including fake confrontations, staged challenges, and bizarre interactions, all designed to test his reactions and perceptions.
The cast included actors such as Tim Walsh as Joe Schmo, Robert Belushi as Allen the Buddy, and Ralph Garman as the Smarmy Host. The show had a runtime of 60 minutes per episode.
