The House of Eliott was a British drama series set in the 1920s London, which aired from August 31, 1991, to March 6, 1993. It followed the story of two sisters, Beatrice and Evangeline Eliott, who started a dressmaking business and eventually established their own haute couture fashion house. The show depicted their journey through the fashion industry, highlighting their professional and personal lives, with supporting characters like Florence Ranby, their head of workroom, and Jack Maddox, a photographer and filmmaker.
The series starred Louise Lombard as Evangeline Eliott, Stella Gonet as Beatrice Eliott, Aden Gillett as Jack Maddox, and Cathy Murphy as Tilly Foss. It was created by Jean Marsh and Eileen Atkins, who previously devised Upstairs, Downstairs. The show was written by several writers including Jill Hyem, Peter Buckman, Deborah Cook, and Ginnie Hole.
