The Guard was a character-driven drama series that aired from 2008 to 2009. It was set in the scenic wilderness of Squamish, British Columbia, and focused on the lives of four Canadian Coast Guard Rescue specialists. The show depicted their daily encounters with danger on the Pacific Ocean as they worked to save lives while searching for personal meaning.
The series starred Steve Bacic as Duty Captain Miro Da Silva, Sonya Salomaa as First Mate Laura Nelson (from Season 2 onward), Claudette Mink as Laura Nelson in Season 1, Jeremy Guilbaut as Rescue Specialist Andrew Vanderlee, and Zoie Palmer as Carly Greig. It was a drama, action, and adventure series with each episode lasting approximately 60 minutes. The show did not have a rated audience score available.
