The series was a comedy that aired from 1975 to 1978, centered on Tom and Barbara Good, a middle-class suburban couple who decided to become self-sufficient by transforming their home into an allotment. They grew their own food, kept farm animals, and even sold or bartered electrical appliances since they had no electricity. Their unconventional lifestyle caused friction with their neighbors, Jerry and Margo Leadbetter, but despite the differences, they remained close friends.
The cast included Richard Briers as Tom Good, Felicity Kendal as Barbara Good, Paul Eddington as Jerry Leadbetter, and Penelope Keith as Margo Leadbetter. The show was rated 8 on TVMaze and had a runtime of 30 minutes per episode.
