It followed the everyday lives of Joe and Angela Dumpling, a married couple who owned the Dumplings Luncheonette, a sandwich bar located in the Bristol Oil Company Building in New York. The series depicted their humorous trials and tribulations as they managed their business and personal lives.
The cast included James Coco as Joe Dumpling, Geraldine Brooks as Angela Dumpling, George S. Irving as Charles Sweetzer, George Furth as Frederic Steele, Marcia Rodd as Stephanie, Mort Marshall as Cully, and Jane Connell as Bridget McKenna.
