About The Detectives

The show was a British comedy series that satirized police dramas. It was based on a sketch from Jasper Carrott's stand-up show Canned Carrott, and then developed into a full television series. The series featured two bumbling detective constables, Bob Louis and Dave Briggs, who were often inept at their jobs but managed to solve cases despite their shortcomings. The series was known for its humorous take on police work and the contrasting personalities of the main characters.
The cast included Jasper Carrott as Bob Louis and Robert Powell as Dave Briggs. Each episode had a runtime of approximately 30 minutes.
