The series was a drama, thriller, and mystery that premiered in late 2023. It followed sisters Lori and Erin as they traveled to Fiji for a holiday. After a fight, Erin did not board the plane with Lori, which then disappeared with no wreckage or survivors found. Months later, Erin recognized the pilot on CCTV, prompting her to investigate what happened to her sister and uncover the truth behind the plane's disappearance.

The Castaways featured Sheridan Smith as Lori Holme and Celine Buckens as Erin Holme. The cast also included Brendan Cowell, Lasarus Ratuere, Dominic Tighe, Charlotte Vega, Celeste Dodwell, and Joseph Mydell.
