The Brothers was a drama series that aired from 1972 to 1976, centered around the conflicts within the Hammond family over their London-based road haulage business. The show depicted the tensions and disputes among family members as they navigated issues of inheritance and business succession, with the eldest son, Edward, preparing to take over the company only to discover that his father had left equal shares to his other sons and to Jennifer Kingsley, his mistress and secretary.

The cast included Robin Chadwick as David Hammond, Jean Anderson as Mary Hammond, Jennifer Wilson as Jennifer Kingsley, Patrick O'Connell as Edward Hammond, Colin Baker as Paul Merroney, Glyn Owen as Edward Hammond, Richard Easton as Brian Hammond, and Derek Benfield as Bill Riley.
