The series was a children's comedy and adventure show that originally premiered on September 17, 1983. It was about a group of tiny, anthropomorphic dogs living on Biskitt Island, who were dedicated to guarding the crown jewels of Biskitt Castle. Modeled after Robin Hood, the Biskitts served their late king and performed good deeds for the inhabitants of their island, while facing opposition from the villainous King Max of Lower Suburbia.

The cast included Darryl Hickman as Waggs, Kathleen Helppie-Shipley as Sweets, Jerry Houser as Shiner, B.J. Ward as Lady, Bob Holt as Bump and Spinner, Henry Gibson as Downer, and Jennifer Darling as Wiggle.
