Takarajima was an action-adventure anime series that premiered in 1978. It was set during the Golden Age of Piracy and followed the story of Jim Hawkins, a young boy who helped his mother run the Admiral Benbow Inn near Black Hill in England. One rainy night, a mysterious sailor arrived, and from him, Jim obtained a treasure map belonging to the infamous pirate Flint. With the help of friends connected to his late father, Jim set out on a daring quest to find what could be a legendary treasure.

The show had a runtime of approximately 30 minutes per episode.
