Instead of landing in Kansas, baby Superman crash-landed in Ukraine and was raised in Russia, becoming a symbol of socialism and influencing global politics during Stalin's era. The series explored how this alternative trajectory altered the world order and Superman's role on the international stage.

The show featured voice actors including Wendee Lee as Lana-L, Wonder Woman, and Hippolyta; Kirk Thornton as Jimmy Olsen, Batman, and Green Lantern (Hal Jordan); David Lodge as Superman and Bizarro; Jim Meskimen as Lex Luthor, Perry White, Josef Stalin, and Green Lantern (Guy Gardner); and Cindy Robinson as Lois Lane and Brainiac.
