"Something is Out There" was a science-fiction drama series that aired in 1988. It followed the story of a young woman named Ta'ra, who was on a mission to hunt down an escaped interstellar prisoner. During her pursuit, her spaceship was destroyed after she helped the prisoner, leading her to stay on Earth and assist him while seeking a way to return to her home planet.
The series starred Maryam d'Abo as Ta'ra, Gregory Sierra as Captain Victor Maldonado, and Joseph Cortese as Jack Breslin. The show was a 60-minute program and aired during the fall of 1988. It remains a part of science fiction television history from the late 1980s.
