Is Snapphanar coming back?

Snapphanar ended on December 27, 2006, on SVT Barnkanalen. The miniseries aired over three parts during Christmas 2006 and has not been renewed or continued since then.

It was a historical drama set in the 17th century, focusing on the Snapphane peasant rebel movement that fought against Swedish rule of Scania. The series depicted the secret rebellion of people who supported Denmark between 1660 and 1700, highlighting the conflicts and resistance during that period. Although it was a dramatized portrayal, some historians criticized the series for its lack of historical accuracy and for portraying nationalist attitudes that did not exist at the time.

The cast included Anders Ekborg as Gabriel Lejonhufvud, Tuva Novotny as Hedvig Sparre, Gustaf Skarsgård as Karl XI, and Kim Bodnia as Mogens Laumann. The show had a runtime of 60 minutes per episode.
