Snake Boss was a documentary-style series that premiered in 2015. It followed Julia Baker, a fearless snake charmer and former pastry chef, as she worked to remove dangerous snakes from Brisbane homes. The show highlighted her efforts to help residents understand and coexist with venomous snakes, often involving face-to-face encounters with eastern brown snakes and other deadly species. Julia's mission was to reduce fear and promote safety in a city known for its snake population.
The series featured Julia Baker as herself, with Jamie Dunn providing narration. Julia was passionate about her work and was one of the few women in Australia involved in snake catching professionally. She was assisted by her partner Johnny Gallacher, who was her apprentice, along with their Jack Russell terrier, Bonnie.
