It was set deep underground in a luminous, high-tech world where the protagonist Eli Shane aimed to become the greatest Slugslinging hero. The show followed Eli and his team as they explored underground caverns, challenged rivals, and duelled with small creatures called SLUGS, which could transform into powerful magical beasts. The series depicted their adventures in a world where the ammo was alive, and survival depended on quick reflexes and clever gear upgrades. The story also involved a threat from Dr. Blakk, who sought to corrupt the slugs and turn them into feral weapons, creating a constant danger for the underground world.

The cast included Sam Vincent as Eli Shane, Shannon Chan-Kent as Trixie, Andrew Francis as Kord Zane, Lee Tockar as Pronto Geronimole, and Vincent Tong as Junjie.
