It was a science-fiction and children’s series set in the 23rd century, where Earth had broken into countless fragments orbiting a central core. The show depicted a world called Skyland, inhabited by evolved humans known as Seijins, who could harness sunlight to perform various abilities such as telekinesis, telepathy, and energy projection. The series followed the struggle against the oppressive Sphere, an organization controlling water supplies and maintaining power through the training of Seijin children, who were taken from their families.

The story focused on Mahad and Lena, young Seijins who, after their mother was captured by the Sphere, joined a pirate rebellion to fight back. The series explored their efforts to free their mother and overthrow the Sphere’s dictatorship. Premiering in November 2005, Skyland was a blend of science fiction and adventure targeted at a younger audience. It showcased a post-apocalyptic universe filled with conflicts between pirates and a ruling organization, emphasizing themes of resistance and heroism.

Each episode had a runtime of approximately 30 minutes. The final episode was the 26th of season 1, aired on April 29, 2007.
