Sister Princess was a Japanese anime series that first premiered on April 4, 2001. It was a blend of drama, comedy, romance, and slice-of-life genres. The story followed Wataru Minakami, a top student who, after a computer glitch caused him to fail his high school entrance exam, was accepted to Stargazer Hill Academy on a mysterious island called Promised Island. At the request of his father, Wataru was taken to the island, where he was soon surrounded by a dozen charming girls claiming to be his younger sisters. The series explored Wataru's interactions with his newfound siblings and the underlying mystery of why they were sent to the island.

The cast included Nana Mizuki as Aria, Ayako Kawasumi as Chikage, Yumi Kakazu as Haruka, Chiemi Chiba as Hinako, Hisayo Mochizuki as Kaho, Natsuko Kuwatani as Karen, Yumiko Kobayashi as Mamoru, and Ryouka Yuzuki as Marie.
