The show followed Asakura Takami, a reporter working for the news program "Afternoon JAPAN," which was facing challenges due to ongoing scandals. To restore the program's reputation, Takami teamed up with senior reporter Satoya Taichi to investigate the abduction of a high school girl. Through interviews, Takami uncovered that the girl had been bullied, but also learned that another girl, suspected of being the culprit, had experienced a rape six years earlier.

The series starred Yuko Araki as Takami Asakura, Hiroyuki Ikeuchi as Taichi Satoya, and Masanobu Takashima as Kenji Kudo. The cast also included Rin Takanashi, Masahiro Komoto, Mari Hamada, and Narushi Ikeda.
