It was a comedy series centered around brothers Brian and Steve Webber, who attempted to start a business involving a soggy narrowboat and the tourist trade along the Thames. The series depicted their contrasting personalities—Brian's charm and ambition versus Steve's laziness and loutish behavior—and the challenges they faced in their entrepreneurial efforts, as well as the impact on Brian's relationship with his idealistic girlfriend Sonia.
