Saikyou Bushouden: Sangoku Engi ended on August 1, 2009, after its single season aired on CCTV-8.

The show was an anime series set in a historical war context, following Lui Bei as he set out to bring stability to his homeland. With his sworn brothers Zhang Fei and Guan Yu, Lui Bei faced numerous challenges, often taking a subordinate role to other generals to ensure his safety amid ongoing conflicts.

Each episode had a runtime of approximately 30 minutes.
