Ranjeni orao was a drama and romance television series set in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia between the two world wars. It was based on a novel and centered around the love life of the young and naive protagonist, Anđelka Bojanić. After marrying a Montenegrin lawyer, she quickly realized she had made a mistake. Due to her past, which included losing her virginity in her teens—a situation frowned upon at the time—her husband learned of this after their marriage and divorced her. She then moved to Trebinje to rebuild her life, where she encountered new people, found love again, and faced her past, leading to much drama and heartache.

The show premiered on December 22, 2008, and concluded with its 17th episode on January 15, 2009. It was a period drama that explored themes of love, societal expectations, and personal redemption during a tumultuous historical era. The series was a single-season story that depicted the emotional struggles of its main character during a significant time in Balkan history.
