Promised Land ended on May 20, 1999, on CBS. The show concluded after its third season, which aired from October 1998 to May 1999. It was part of the network's lineup for three years, with its final episode broadcast in 1999.
Promised Land was a drama and adventure series that originally premiered on September 17, 1996. The series followed Russell Greene and his family as they traveled across the country in an old Suburban and trailer after Russell lost his job. The family sought new adventures and aimed to help people they encountered along the way, embodying themes of family, hope, and community. It was a spin-off of Touched by an Angel and featured crossover episodes with that series, as well as with Diagnosis Murder.
The cast included Gerald McRaney as Russell Greene, Wendy Phillips as Claire Greene, Sarah Schaub as Dinah Greene, Austin O'Brien as Joshua Greene, Eddie Karr as Nathaniel Greene, Celeste Holm as Hattie Greene, and Richard Thomas as Joe Greene.
