It followed bear trainer Jeff Watson and his two rescued bears, Bob and Screech, as Watson attempted to return them to the wild where they belonged. The series documented his efforts to teach the bears survival skills necessary for life in the wild, a task driven by a crisis of conscience to ensure the bears' well-being beyond captivity.
