Profit ended on November 11, 1997. The show's final episode aired that day on FOX.

Profit was a drama series that premiered in 1996. It followed Jim Profit, a ruthless employee working for a multinational corporation, who was willing to use any means necessary to advance his position, including bribery, blackmail, intimidation, extortion, and even murder. Despite receiving rave reviews, the series was canceled after only five episodes due to its provocative content. An additional four episodes had been shot and were released about a year and a half later.

The series starred Adrian Pasdar as Jim Profit, with a cast that included Keith Szarabajka, Lisa Darr, Lisa Blount, Jack Gwaltney, Lisa Zane, Sherman Augustus, and Allison Hossack. The show had a runtime of 60 minutes per episode.
